Vidarbha eves lose to Delhi

 

 

AAYUSHI Thakre shone with the ball and bat but could not prevent Vidarbha from going down to Delhi in their opening Elite Group A match of the U-23 Women’s T20 Trophy in Chandigarh on Monday. Delhi posted a challenging tally of 153-4 in their 20 overs with skipper Tanisha Singh making an unbeaten 50. Aayushi claimed two wickets for 30 runs. Vidarbha’s chase was derailed by a top-order collapse. They were 39-5 in the 12th over and could only manage to score 94-8. Aayushi chipped in with an unbeaten 26. Brief scores: Delhi 153-4 in 20 overs (Tanisha Singh 50*, Shweta Sehrawat 44; Aayushi Thakre 2-30). Vidarbha: 94-8 in 20 overs (Aayushi Thakre 26*; Medhavi Bidhuri 2-10). Result: Delhi won by 59 runs.
