WITH the Sky Walk construction progressing in Raipur, the district administration has announced temporary traffic changes to ensure the safety of motorists. According to an order issued by the Collector and Magistrate, the route from Shastri Chowk to Mekahara Chowk and from Shastri Chowk to the Multi-Level Parking towards Jaistambh Chowk will operate as a one-way route for one month starting November 27. The timing for the one-way restriction will be from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. For the first 15 days, the one-way system will be implemented on the stretch from Shastri Chowk to the MultiLevel Parking towards Jaistambh Chowk. For the following 15 days, the one-way arrangement will be enforced on the route from Shastri Chowk to Mekahara Chowk.

 

Collector Gaurav Singh has instructed the concerned departments to install an adequate number of reflective barricades at the entry and exit points of the closed routes, ensure proper deployment of guards for traffic diversion and management, and place clear information boards at both ends of the affected routes to inform motorists about the one-way implementation.
