Sports Reporter :

IT WAS a bad day for local clubs SEC Railway Nagpur and Rabbani Club Kamptee as both went down in the 10th Haji Majid Ahmad Majju Seth All India Gold Cup Football Tournament under way at Military Football Ground Kamptee, on Tuesday. While SECR lost to J&K Bank Kashmir via tie-breaker, Rabbani lost 0-1 to GST Custom Chennai. SECR and J&K Bank played out a goalless draw and the match was decided with spot kicks. SECR converted four missing the last one while their opponents scored all five from the spot to take full points.

SECR’s Azhar was shown the only yellow card of the game. In an earlier match, Rabbani were unlucky to concede a goal in dying minutes of play against Chennai team. Vineeih shook the net in 89th minute for heartbreak of the partisan fans at their home ground. Rabbani’s Md Afzal and Chennai’s Satish Kumar were cautioned. Wednesday’s fixtures: MEG Bangalore Vs GST Custom Chennai 1.00 pm; MYJ Mumbai Vs CISF Delhi 3.00 pm.
