NITIN Ambare, Superintendent of Range-II, Amravati Division, Central GST Nagpur Zone, has made the entire department proud by successfully completing the 4250km cycle journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari that was part of Fit India Campaign. The rally was organised to mark 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel conveying message of unity and fitness. It was not just a journey to cover distance, but a remarkable combination of courage, discipline and patriotism. The expedition began in Kashmir on October 31 and after a difficult journey of 16 days everyone reached Kanyakumari. Ambare was honoured by Sandeep Puri, Chief Commissioner for this remarkable achievement.
 
Central GST, Nagpur Zone and KK Srivastava, Commissioner, Central GST Nagpur-II Commissionerate, Nagpur honoured him by presenting him a shawl and a coconut. Joint Commissioners Satish Shitole, Sumit Kumar Agarwal, Satish Kumar T and Assistant Commissioner Shashi Shekhar Sinha were present on the occasion. Ambare was among 150 cyclists selected from across the country for this rally. The dedicated athlete from Amravati Cycling Association has previously completed numerous expeditions and long-distance journeys on his bicycle. This time, he and his team-mates successfully completed this difficult journey, pedalling 200 to 300 kilometres daily.
