Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey visited the Nagpur-based Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) on Thursday. On the occasion, he inaugurated the e-vehicle fast electric charging station established at the headquarters. Thereafter, he inspected the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) for e-surveillance. Following the inspection, the Minister chaired a review meeting of WCL.
The session commenced with the inauguration of WCL’s new website and the Amrit Pharmacy at Chandrapur Area.
Subsequently, during the review meeting, he assessed WCL’s performance in terms of production, productivity, and coal dispatch. Chairman-cum-Managing Director JP Dwivedi presented a detailed overview of coal mining operations in WCL. He briefed the Minister on the coal production and dispatch achieved so far.
