Administrative machinery in Parseoni has moved into full operational mode ahead of the Nagar Panchayat election to be held on December 2. Suresh Waghchaure, Tehsildar and Election OFfcier; Nitin Lunge, Assistant Election Officer; and Police Inspector Rajeshkumar Thorat appealed the voters to exercise their franchise without fear in large numbers. Seventy-five candidates are in the ring for Seventeen council seats. Three candidates are contesting the post of Nagar Adhyaksha. A total of 10,198 voters will determine the outcome. Seventeen polling stations have been designated, each staffed by six personnel.

Transport arrangements for staff and voting machines have been finalised, with deployment scheduled for December 1. All electronic voting machines have undergone inspection. Machines were sealed in the presence of candidates and their representatives. Technical personnel have been appointed to handle any malfunction. On polling day, machines will be activated in the presence of authorised representatives and sealed again once voting concludes. Police have imposed strict vigilance across Parseoni. Special squads are monitoring the town, checking vehicles at fixed posts, and tracking movements round the clock.

The force is targeting inducements, coercion, misinformation, and attempts to provoke social tension through social media. Immediate action will follow against any individual found engaging in such activities, Police Inspector Thorat stated. Officials reiterated that voters must cast their ballots independently and without succumbing to pressure or incentives. They stressed that participation in the election is essential to reinforce democratic functioning.
