MoS for Coal & Mines visits MECL

 

 

Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey recently visited Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECL) campuses located in Nagpur. During his visit, he conducted a comprehensive inspection and review of MECL’s advanced capabilities in mineral exploration, scientific analysis and in-house engineering innovations. On this occasion, Indra Dev Narayan, Chairman and Managing Director of MECL, extensively briefed the Minister on MECL’s operational domains, key projects, achievements and the organisation’s ongoing role in advancing mineral self-reliance.

 

During the tour, the minister reviewed the state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure at MECL, which empowers high-quality scientific analysis and data-driven decision-making for mineral exploration. He appreciated MECL’s advanced capabilities in in-house product development and indigenous technologies. The minister also observed firsthand the indigenous manufacturing processes of drill bits, core barrels and various drilling accessories at the MECL workshop.
