VISVESVARAYA National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur successfully maintained their winning streak on Day Two of the All India Inter National Institute of Technology (NIT) Sports Meet in progress at VNIT on Sunday. VNIT boys defeated NIT Rourkela 15-7 showcasing strong defencive co-ordination. VNIT Nagpur also demolished MNIT Jaipur 20-8. While NIT Silchar beat NIT Andhra Pradesh 13-11.

 

In the women’s matches, VNIT Nagpur outperformed NIT Rourkela 7-0, Muskan Thakur and Bhagya were the top scorers. Both teams will now play semi-finals on Monday. In lawn tennis matches of the day, VNIT overpowered MNIT Jaipur 6-2, 6-0. Another intense match between VNIT and NIT Jamshedpur went to tie-breaker and saw VNIT beat Jamshedpur 10-5, 7-5. In the women’s category, VNIT Nagpur blanked SVNIT Surat 6-0 in both games. The men’s team will play quarter-final and the women’s team will play semi-finals. The yoga competition brought poise and precision to the day’s sporting atmosphere, highlighting flexibility, breath control, and meditative focus.
