State Government announces reward for Kranti’s brilliant performance in the recently played cricket World Cup  
 
State Government announced Rs 1 crore reward to State’s daughter and one of the prominent members of winning Indian Women’s Cricket World Cup team, Kranti Gaud on Monday. As the Indian women’s cricket team won its first-ever World Cup with a 52-run victory over South Africa in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, in State too, people are showering blessings on the team and ministers hailed their performance. Congratulating to the team, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said that daughters of the country performed well in cricket on Sunday night. Kranti Gaud hailing from Chhatarpur contributed significantly to the team’s victory and to encourage our players, the State Government will give Rs 1 crore reward to her. Kranti Gaud represented Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket and UP Warriorz in the Women’s Premier League.
 
In April 2025, Gaud was selected in national team as a replacement player for Kashvee Gautam in the Sri Lanka Tri-Nation Series. Social media platforms have since been flooded with reactions and match has become talk of the town. A young Indian cricket fan, Sanvi Joshi said, “I have become speechless to say on our victory. It is not just victory in a match but it give us (girls ) a reason to take pride. To win a match is a team work. Every player played well and I watched every ball of Sunday’s final. But Deepti Sharma played excellently. Everyone contributed significantly. Since yesterday, I and my friends are feeling that we’ve won this World Cup, we were the players.”
