Ojas takes numero uno spot
 
NAGPUR’S very own 23-year-old world champion archer Ojas Pravin Deotale made the city proud yet once by clinching the number one spot in 1st NTPC National Ranking Archery Tournament that concluded at shooting arena of Jagatpura Shooting Range in Jaipur, Rajasthan recently. Ojas finished on top in the senior compound men’s rankings with a total score of 712. He was followed by Rajasthan’s Vasu Yadav and Devansh Singh for the second and third spots respectively.
 
World Championships and Asian Games gold winner, Ojas has recently been added in the Indian Sports Ministry’s Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) core group in May as compound archery is set to debut in Los Angeles Olympics 2028. In the women’s senior compound rankings, Madhura Dhamangaonkar of Amravati tops the list with 706 points, followed by Aditi Swami of Satara at second with 705 points. Several Olympians like Jayant Taludkar and Tarundeep Rai had participated in the event.
