The Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defence, has approved the Certificate in Accounting Technicians (CAT) Course of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) for retiring and retired JCOs/ORs. The initiative aims to facilitate the resettlement and career transition of defence personnel by equipping them with professional accounting and financial management skills. As per the 2025–26 DGR Calendar, The batch, consisting of 32 candidates, commenced at Nagpur Chapter on October 27 and will continue till February 13, 2026. The inaugural session, held at CMA Bhawan, Nagpur Chapter of Cost Accountant, Laxmi Nagar, was graced by CMA S Rajat Naidu, Chairman of the Chapter; CMA Manisha Agrawal, WIRC Nominee; CMA P S Patil, Chairman of the Professional Development Committee; CMA Renu Kulkarni, faculty and CMA Manish Pandey, Secretary of the Chapter. The programme was coordinated by CMA Pushpraj Kulkarni, Programme Coordinator.
