The Brahmakumaris’ Vishwa Shanti Sarovar on Wardha Road has become a member of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), reflecting its commitment to sustainability and environmental excellence. The membership was formally accepted by Rajyogini Rajani Didi, President of Vishwa Shanti Sarovar. Present at the occasion were Rajyogini Manisha Didi, Secretary; energy auditor Kedar Khamitkar; engineer Kiran Khamitkar; and Shekhar Rahangdale. Rajyogi Premprakash Bhai will serve as the nodal officer for this initiative. By joining IGBC, the institute can participate in national green building initiatives, attend IGBC programmes, and collaborate on sustainability focused projects.

The move aligns with the organisation’s vision of integrating spiritual values with environmental consciousness. Publisher Manoj Pathak noted that this step reinforces the Sarovar’s legacy of combining holistic living with eco-friendly practices. Through this membership, the Brahmakumaris aim to contribute to India’s green movement while offering a model for energy-efficient and spiritually enriched infrastructure.
