With dry conditions prevailing across Chhattisgarh, meteorologists have forecast a further dip of 2°C to 4°C in minimum temperatures over the next three days. The gradual fall in temperature marks the onset of cooler conditions typical of early winter across State.
According to the Meteorological Centre in Raipur, no rainfall was recorded anywhere in Chhattisgarh on Friday.
The day remained mostly clear, with light northeasterly winds keeping humidity low and temperatures moderate.
The highest maximum temperature of 31.5°C was observed at Mana Airport in Raipur, while Ambikapur was the coolest spot seasonal average. Morning humidity stood at 65%, dropping to 55% by evening, with light winds blowing at 2 km/h. Across other regions, Bilaspur reported a maximum of 30.0°C and a minimum of 18.6°C, while Durg recorded 30.2°C and 16.2°C respectively.
Rajnandgaon witnessed a warmer day with 31.0°C — around 4.8°C above normal — but a cool night at 15.5°C. Jagdalpur in Bastar division experienced 29.6°C as the day temperature and a relatively warm night at 20.2°C, about 3.5°C higher than normal. The Weather Department has stated that the prevailing dry spell is expected to continue for the next few days, with no warning issued for adverse weather.
As winter slowly sets in, clear skies and cool breezes will dominate morning and evening hours, while afternoons will remain mild and pleasant. For Raipur city, the forecast for November 8 indicates a mainly clear sky with daytime temperatures around 31°C and nighttime lows near 18°C. Residents are advised to prepare for gradually cooler mornings as the state transitions into the winter season.
