PRIME Minister Narendra Modi returned to Delhi from Raipur by a special plane on Sunday evening. Prime Minister Modi attended the three-day 60th All India Conference of Director Generals/Inspector Generals of Police at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) located in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar of Chhattisgarh on Saturday and Sunday. It may be mentioned that the conference was hosted by Chhattisgarh for the first time.
 
Terming the DGP/IGP Conference as an extremely productive one Prime Minister Modi wrote on his X, “This year’s DGP/IGP Conference was an extremely productive one. We all discussed various aspects in line with the theme of ‘Viksit Bharat: Security Dimensions.’ Emphasised the need to keep focusing on professionalism, sensitivity and responsiveness as far as the police forces are concerned.” “With urbanization increasing and India aspiring to advance in tourism, it is essential to strengthen urban and tourismrelated policing.
 
He also urged police officials to raise awareness about the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, and Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, noting that these laws represent a significant departure from the earlier colonial-era legislation”. He added that policing, like other aspects of governance, requires a ‘Whole of Government’ approach. In this context, he emphasized enhancing preparedness and coordination measures related to natural disasters. The Prime Minister presented the President's Police Medals for Distinguished Service to officers of the Intelligence Bureau in the conference and congratulated them for the honour.

Congratulations to these officers for their service to the nation.” Prime Minister reached Raipur from Goa on Friday evening and took night halt in new Speaker House in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar on Friday and Saturday night. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Ministers of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Chief of Research and Analysis Wing Parag Jain and Director of Intelligence Bureau Tapan Kumar Deka, DGsP and IGsP from all States and Union Territories, as well as heads of CAPFs and Central Police Organisations, participated in the conference
