Five from Nagpur held in city for illegal ammunition trade

Bargi Police have arrested five accused hailing from Nagpur for illegal ammunition trade and seized 14 live cartridges, five mobile handsets and a Scorpio SUV from them. The arrested have been identified as Uzair Parvez (38), son of Abdul Khalid, a resident of Rai Aasiyana Apartments, Mankapur, Nagpur, Maharashtra; Kasif Khan (28), son of Asif Khan, resident of Prashant Colony, Gitti Khadan, Nagpur; Ashmit Anil Khote (26), a resident of Thakkar Gram, Panch Pavali, Nagpur; Shubham Kotangle (25), a resident of Bejannagar, Nagpur and Jayghosh Heeralal Temburane (30), a resident of Dhammadeep Nagar, Nagpur.
 
Under a planned operation, Bargi Police have arrested five accused hailing from Nagpur who reached Jabalpur to sell illegal cartridges. SHO of Bargi Police Station (Trainee DSP) Hemant Kumar, informed that on December 8, police received information that some individuals had arrived in a black, unregistered Scorpio with Mahakal written on the rear window. They were reportedly waiting for customers to sell cartridges near Parmeshwar Dhaba, Mandla Bypass Road, Manegaon–Mangeli.
 
A police team immediately raided the location. The suspicious black Scorpio was found parked and five individuals were seen sitting together at the dhaba. On noticing the police, they attempted to escape but were quickly surrounded and apprehended. On questioning, they admitted to having come from Nagpur and were waiting for their associate.
 
A personal search led to the recovery from Uzair Parvez 6 cartridges, 1 Bebo mobile phone, from Kasif Khan 2 cartridges, 1 Narzo mobile phone, Ashmit Khote 2 cartridges, 1 Apple mobile phone, Shubham Kotangle 2 cartridges, 1 Realme mobile phone and from Jayghosh Temburane 2 cartridges, 1 Apple mobile phone. The Scorpio vehicle bearing MH-35P-7202 on the number plate but without actual registration plates was found at the Contd on page 2
