A TRAGIC road accident
occurred in Konia Kala village
on the Chilla road in the
Sohaghi police station area
on Wednesday evening. As
per details, a tractor collided
with a motorcycle carrying
three people who were on
their way to a paddy procure
ment centre. Two young men
and a woman died in the
accident. The tractor’s wheels
ran over the motorcyclists,
killing all three on the spot.
As per information, the
motorcyclists were returning
home from Tyothar. Upon
receiving information about
the incident, Sohaghi Police
Station In-charge, Pawan
Shukla and his team reached
the spot and seized the tractor involved in the accident,
while the driver fled the
scene. The police have placed
the bodies of the deceased in
the hospital morgue.
According to the information
received, Kamlesh Kol (19) of
Bhungaon, Sita Kol of
Lakhwar, and Dharmpal Kol
(35) of Lakhwar were riding
on a motorcycle.
As they
reached the Konia Kala turn,
a speeding tractor hit them,crushing them under its wheels.
The police have placed the bodies of the deceased in the morgue
of Tyothar Civil Hospital.The road
accident that claimed the lives of
the motorcyclists has once again
highlighted gross negligence. It
is reported that paddy procure
ment is currently in full swing.
Tractor drivers in the Terai region
often drive at very high speeds,
and such negligence has previ
ously claimed many lives. Tractor
drivers' licenses are not even
checked.
It is alleged that a young
boy was driving the tractor at high
speed, and it was loaded with
paddy being transported to the
procurement center. On the way,
he hit the motorcyclists, result
ing in the death of all three. The
police have registered a case and
are now investigating the entire
matter. The tractor involved in the
collision was loaded with paddy.
After the accident, the driver fled
the scene. The tractor has been
seized. The driver has been iden
tified and will be arrested soon.
