‘Mahila Morcha will work to ensure Govt schemes’ benefits reach every woman in MP’

 

 

 

Newly-appointed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha State President Ashwini Paranjpe on Sunday said that strengthening women socially, economically and organisationally would be her top priority. Addressing party workers during her maiden visit to Jabalpur after assuming charge, she said the Mahila Morcha would work with commitment to ensure that the benefits of Government schemes reach every woman in the State.

 

Paranjpe was accorded a grand welcome on her arrival in the city. BJP workers received her at Pisanhari Ki Madiya, after which a grand welcome rally was taken out. The rally passed through Tripuri Chowk, Panda Ki Madiya, Shahi Naka, Sanjeevani Nagar, Kachhpura Bridge, Yadav Colony, Ranital Chowk and culminated at the BJP divisional office. Several welcome platforms were set up along the route, where party workers and women activists greeted her with enthusiasm.

 

Addressing the gathering at BJP office, Paranjpe said Sanskardhani is a land of blessings, where sincere work is always rewarded. She said the honour given to a “daughter of Jabalpur” by the party’s central and state leadership has enhanced the pride of local workers. She said respect for women has always been part of India’s tradition and culture and it is a matter of pride that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken historic steps towards women empowerment.

 

Expressing views on the occasion, BJP District President Ratnesh Sonkar said women empowerment under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi has moved beyond intent and is being implemented on the ground. Sonkar said Jabalpur will play an important role in this mission, with Ashwini Paranjpe leading the Mahila Morcha at the state level.
