Ira players in Mah hockey team

 

THREE players of Ira International School have been selected to represent Hockey Maharashtra at the 69th SGFI U-17 Hockey National Championship. Yashasvi Kubde, Lajo Rahangdale and Shrawani Tulankar will be part of the Maharashtra squad which will play the nationals in Ranchi, Jharkhand from January 27. The Under-17 girls’ hockey team of the school participated in the DSO State-Level Championship held at Phaltan, Satara, where it secured the runner-up position. Following the tournament, five players were shortlisted for selection trials, out of which three were picked in the final 18 squad. This successful achievement was made possible under the guidance of coach Shahid Bux and with constant encouragement and support from school Principal, Manisha Sathe.
