Flight services between Rewa and Bhopal, which were suspended in October this year due to viability issues, are set to resume from January 2026 with a new airline operator. The route has been novated from FlyBig to SkyHope Aviation, airport authorities confirmed. Speaking to ‘The Hitavada’, Raja Bhoj Airport Director Ramjee Awasthi, who is also mentoring the airports at Rewa, Satna and Datia, said that the suspension of services was linked to operational viability.

He clarified that while the flights were earlier expected to restart in December 2025, the revised schedule now places the resumption in January 2026. The Rewa-Bhopal service was originally launched on November 25, 2024, by FlyBig but was later stalled in October 2025. “The services were stopped due to viability issues. Now the route has been novated to SkyHope, and operations will begin again from January,” Awasthi said. Highlighting passenger demand, Awasthi noted that Rewa-Delhi flights are currently operating with a strong load factor of around 80 to 85 per cent, reflecting growing acceptance of air travel from the region.

He added that, alongside the Delhi route, flights to Bhopal will also continue from January. Further expansion of air connectivity from Rewa is also in the pipeline. The flights between Rewa and Indore are scheduled to commence from December 22, this year which will add another important link for passengers from the Vindhya region. With sustained demand on existing routes and new services being added, airport officials believe Rewa airport is steadily emerging as a key regional aviation hub, improving connectivity within Madhya Pradesh.
