GRP Jabalpur team succeeded in apprehending a
woman involved in drug
peddling and seized three
kilograms of Ganja on foot
over-bridge between plat
form no. 4 and 5 of Jabalpur
Railway Station, on
Tuesday. The arrested
woman has been identified
as Neelu alias Rekha Korku
(40), wife of Pappu Korku, a
resident of Ward No. 14,
Lakhram Mohalla, near
Dhelaram Temple in
Khitola.
It may be noted that
under the directions of
Superintendent of Police
(Railways) Simala Prasad,
Jabalpur and under the
guidance of Additional SP
(Railways) Bhavna Maravi
and SDOP (Railways) Ankita
Sulya, a special checking
campaign is being continuously conducted to curb
crime and apprehend
offenders.
During this special checking drive at
Jabalpur Railway Station,
GRP team noticed a woman
in suspicious condition
near the lift on the Foot
Over Bridge between
Platform No. 4/5. On seeing
the police, she attempted to
flee but was apprehended
with the help of staff. On
interrogation, she disclosed
her identity as Neelu alias
Rekha Korku of Khitola.
In the checking her back
pack, two packets containing a total of 3 kg 150 grams
of Ganja valued at approximately Rs 63,000 was
seized. GRP Jabalpur has
registered a case under
Section 8/20 of the NDPS
Act and the accused was
produced before the court.
