BJP pays homage to Guru Ghasidas Baba

THE Bharatiya Janata Party paid homage to the great saint and social reformer of Chhattisgarh, Guru Ghasidas Baba, on his birth anniversary at the BJP state office, Kushabhau Thackeray Complex, on Wednesday. BJP Regional Organisation General Secretary Ajay Jamwal and State President Kiran Singh Deo offered floral tributes to the portrait of Guru Ghasidas Baba on the occasion. Speaking at the programme, Ajay Jamwal said that Guru Ghasidas Baba was a great saint, social reformer and the founder of the Satnami sect in Chhattisgarh. He said Baba strongly opposed social evils such as caste discrimination, untouchability and social hierarchy, and instead gave society the message of equality and harmony.
 
Jamwal noted that Guru Ghasidas Baba propagated the principle that all human beings are equal and laid the foun BJP leaders paying respect to Guru Ghasidas Baba. dation of the Satnam sect on the ideals of truth, non-violence and social harmony. He added that Baba s teachings continue to inspire society towards unity and mutual respect. State BJP President Kiran Deo said that the thoughts and ideals of Guru Ghasidas Baba remain highly relevant even today, as they convey the mes sage of equality, humanity and social justice. He said Baba s birth anniversary, observed on December 18, is celebrated with great enthusiasm across Chhattisgarh.
 
Kiran Deo added that Guru Ghasidas Baba gave a new direction to Chhattisgarhs society and dedicated his entire life to social upliftment, earning him a revered place as a great saint and reformer of the State. Several senior leaders and party functionaries were present at the event, including BJP National Vice-President and MLA Lata Usendi, State Minister Amit Sahu, office in-charge Ashok Bajaj, Raipur City District in-charge Rajendra Sharma, former MLA Poonam Chandrakar, Deepesh Arora, along with a large number of BJP office bearers and workers.
