DIVISIONAL Gita Jayanti
Mahotsav celebration concludes successfully with the participation of over 6,000 school
students with the recitation of
the 15th chapter of the
Bhagavad Gita at at Pt. Lajja
Shankar Jha Government
Excellence Higher Secondary
School (Model School).
The Gita Jayanti Mahotsav
was organised as per the directives of the State Government.
The event was jointly conducted under the aegis of the
Madhya Pradesh Culture
Department, World Geeta
Foundation, and School
Education Department.
The programme commenced
with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, worship of Maa
Saraswati and Shrimad
Bhagvad Gita, followed by an
inspirational song based on the
teachings of the Gita. Guests
were welcomed with traditional tilak, shawls, shriphal and
saplings of the Tulsi plant.
Delivering a special discourse, Jagatguru Raghav
Devacharya Ji Maharaj
informed about the significance
of the Bhagvad Gita, describing it as a sacred scripture whose
regular recitation guides individuals toward righteous living.
Under his guidance, a mass
recitation of the 15th chapter of the
Bhagvad Gita was conducted.
Approximately 6,000 students from various schools participated and recited in
unison, led enthusiastically by young
students from Sanskrit schools of the district.
The programme was graced by Mayor
Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu as the chief
guest while Jabalpur Division
Commissioner Dhananjay Singh
Bhadauria, RSS Madhya Kshetra
Bauddhik Pramukh Nagendra Ji,
Municipal Corporation Chairperson
Rikunj Vij and Collector Raghavendra
Singh were specially present.
Addressing the gathering, Nagendra
Ji, emphasised the significance of adopting the Gita’s teachings, Bhakti Yoga,
Karma Yoga and Jnana Yoga, in daily life.
He said that the Gita provides scientific
and spiritual guidance essential for personal growth and national development.
Such events, he said, generate a positive
energy that inspires society.
Several dignitaries were present,
including District Panchayat CEO
Abhishek Gehlot, Additional Collector
Nathuram Gaur, District Protocol Officer
Piyush Dubey, Joint Director of Public
Instruction Arun Kumar Ingle, Textbook
Committee Chairman Alkesh
Chaturvedi, Board of Secondary
Education Vice President Shrinivas Rao,
and District Education Officer
Ghanshyam Soni. Representatives from
Sanskrit Bharati, project coordinators
and various scholars also attended. The
programme was conducted by KK
Chaubey and Vijay Tiwari.
