Road stretch filled with potholes, loose gravel and worn-out
patches, making driving inconvenient and hazardous.

The stretch of road from the restaurant ‘Little Italy’ near Raja Rani Chowk up to Nag Bhavan is in poor condition, and has remained so for several years, according to local residents and daily commuters. The road surface is badly damaged, with multiple potholes along the way. In several sections, the tar is uneven and broken, making it difficult for both vehicles and pedestrians to pass smoothly.
Residents say the condition worsens during the monsoon, when potholes fill with water and become difficult to spot. Even during dry months, loose gravel and worn-out patches force motorists to slow down considerably.
Temporary repair work has been carried out in the past, but locals claim it does not last long and the road quickly deteriorates again.
A local who has been traveling daily from this area to her office said the road causes frequent mishaps, especially at night. “It is uncomfortable and downright dangerous to travel from here every day, especially on a two-wheeler. You have to be very careful. A lot of times there are no street lights either.” she said.
The road is also poorly lit.
A passersby noted that street lights do not function consistently, making the area particularly dark at night. The stretch is relatively quiet and sees limited movement after evening hours. A passerby remarked that due to poor lighting and deserted surroundings, people, especially women, tend to avoid using the road at night. Residents have repeatedly raised concerns about the condition of the road and are demanding proper resurfacing and functional street lighting to improve safety and accessibility.
