Expands footprint across 19 Indian cities, 9 States and 1 Union Territory
In a landmark development that reshapes the Indian FM radio landscape, city-based Abhijit Realtors and Infraventures Private Limited’s (ARIPL) radio division, Radio Orange, has acquired Mirchi Love FM stations from Entertainment Network (India) Limited (ENIL) and Ishq FM stations from TV Today Network, significantly expanding its presence across major metro hubs and high-growth regional markets.
This acquisition strengthens Radio Orange’s position as an emerging national radio network, bringing together legacy
frequencies, established brand
value and experienced talent
pools from two of India’s most trusted broadcasters. The consolidation marks the beginning of a new era for the company, opening doors to deeper market penetration, broader audience engagement and a richer content offerings portfolio.
With this acquisition, Abhijit Majumdar-led ARIPL (Radio Orange) now operates in 19 cities across India, including major metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Nagpur, along with prominent tier-II and tier-III markets such as Lucknow and Kanpur.
The acquisition reflects
the growing consumer appetite for audio entertainment in
multiple languages and formats. With access to a wider demographic mix - from metropolitan youth audiences to culturally rooted regional listeners - Radio Orange is now poised to deliver programming that mirrors
India’s linguistic diversity and cultural richness.
This strategic consolidation is a major milestone in ARIPL (Radio Orange) growth journey. By integrating legacy stations from two of India’s most respected broadcast companies, the network strengthens its competitive edge and accelerates its mission to deliver deeper listener engagement, diverse content formats, and stronger city-wise programming dominance.
The expanded presence will enable Radio Orange to reach millions across urban and rural markets, building content ecosystems that inspire loyalty and strengthen radio’s long-term relevance in the country.
The network aims to innovate across genres - from storytelling, music and infotainment to interactive formats, digital-radio integrations and hyperlocal programming.
As a result of the acquisition, Radio Orange will now broadcast across Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Nagpur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Akola, Ahilyanagar, Jalgaon, Sangli, Dhule, Karnal, Shimla, Patiala, Hissar, Jabalpur, Ranchi, Muzaffarpur and Bilaspur.
The move marks a notable development in India’s media and entertainment sector, signalling a shift towards network expansion and consolidation among independent broadcasters. As FM radio evolves alongside digital platforms, partnerships and acquisitions of this scale are expected to play a key role in strengthening
operational efficiency, content leadership and market relevance.
Speaking on the announcement, Inu Majumdar, CEO – Radio Orange, said: “Abhijit Realtors and Infraventures Pvt. Ltd. (Radio Orange) is thrilled to welcome the Mirchi Love and Ishq FM networks to our family. This expansion enables us to serve a wider audience in India’s most influential markets, while staying true to our purpose of elevating the radio listening experience with high-quality entertainment, music and storytelling. As we enter this new era of growth, we remain committed to building a vibrant, future-ready radio ecosystem that inspires, informs and engages audiences across the nation.”
She further added that the radio industry continues to demonstrate exceptional loyalty, particularly in regional and non-metro segments where FM remains a primary and trusted entertainment medium. With this acquisition, the network is strongly positioned to expand its influence, drive localisation, and invest in creative programming strategies that reflect India’s diverse cultural identities.
The acquisition also reflects a broader strategic industry shift, as ENIL and TV Today Network realign business portfolios in response to evolving media consumption patterns. Radio Orange’s expansion comes at a time when FM radio is rediscovering relevance through hyper-local content, regional language entertainment and widespread listener loyalty across non-metro markets — areas where the company now holds a significantly strengthened footprint.
Radio Orange is a dynamic private FM network offering music, infotainment, storytelling, and conversational programming to a wide and diverse listener base. With operations now spanning 19 cities, Radio Orange continues to build a strong emotional connection with audiences across India through innovative content formats, strong community engagement, region-focused programming, multi-language entertainment and a youthful brand identity.
