ON MONDAY, the Council of
Ministers has given their con
sent to several crucial issues
including formation of commit
tees at district level, Vrindavan
Scheme’s next leg, Bhopal met
ropolitan region, underground
Indore Metro, Barwah road
widening and Aanganwadi
schemes. Briefing media about
the meeting, Public works
Department Minister, Rakesh
Singh informed that Union
Minister Amit Shah will lay foun
dation stone of several develop
ment projects at Gwalior and
Rewa. The event will be part of
‘Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh’
(the 70th Madhya Pradesh
Foundation Day celebration).
Long pending demand of for
mation of several important
committees at districts e.g. Rogi
Kalyan Samiti, Jila Vikas Salahkar
Samiti etc. has been addressed
in this meeting and decided to
expedite their formation process.
Ground breaking ceremony of
Medical College at Betul will be
take place on Tuesday. The col
lege will be developed on Public
Private Partnership. Another
important decision on It has
granted administrative approval
of Rs 2,508 crore 21 lakh for the
upgradation and widening of the
Barwah-Dhamnod 4-lane road
with pavements (length 62.795
km) under the Hybrid Annuity
Model, including land acquisi
tion. A meeting of the Council of
Ministers, chaired by Chief
Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, was
held at the secretariat building.
The project will include the
construction of 10 bypasses, 5
major bridges, 23 medium
bridges, 12 VUP/SVUPs, 7 major
junctions, and 56 medium junctions. 40 per cent of the con
struction cost will be borne by
the Madhya Pradesh Road
Development Corporation from
the State Highway Fund, including GST, under the Hybrid
Annuity Model (HAM). The remaining 60 per cent will
be provided through the state
budget in the form of six-month
ly annuities over a period of 15
years during the operational
phase. The Council approved the
continuation of schemes and
programs under Saksham
Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 for
the next 5 years, from 2026-27 to
2030-31, in accordance with the
criteria approved by the
Government of India and the
period determined by the 16th
Finance Commission.
This
scheme includes the Anganwadi
Services Scheme
(Supplementary Nutrition
Programme, pre-school educa
tion, Anganwadi building con
struction including Saksham
Anganwadi), Poshan Abhiyan,
scheme for adolescent girls,
training of Anganwadi workers,
etc. This scheme is implement
ed in 97,882 Anganwadi centres
under 453 Child Development
Projects in all 55 districts of the
State.
