MADHYA Pradesh has achieved
another major milestone in the
field of power transmission.
Madhya Pradesh Power
Transmission Company (MP
Transco) has been honoured with
the prestigious national ‘Power
Line TransTech India Award’ for
recording the lowest transmis
sion loss in the Western Region.
Congratulating the officers
and employees of MP Transco
on this achievement, the State
Energy Minister Pradyuman
Singh Tomar said that this award
is a result of the State’s robust
transmission system, technical
efficiency, and continuous
improvement efforts. He
emphasised that ensuring unin
terrupted power supply with
minimum transmission losses
remains a top priority of the
State Government.
On behalf of MP Transco,
Executive Engineer Lokesh
Dwivedi received the award at
this prestigious platform, which
is recognised by the Ministry of
Power, Government of India.
The award has been instituted
by the international power-sec
tor magazine ‘Power Line’, with
the objective of encouraging
outstanding performance by
power utilities in India’s trans
mission sector.
For the award, utilities were
selected based on data from the
Central Electricity Authority
(CEA), Power Finance
Corporation (PFC), and official
reports of various State power
companies. The evaluation cri
teria included key parameters
such as increase in line length,
enhancement of transforma
tion capacity, improved financial performance, and lowest
transmission losses.
The award was presented dur
ing the ‘TransTech India–2025’
Conference, held at
Yashobhoomi India
International Convention and
Expo Centre, Dwarka, New
Delhi. This conference is a major
national platform recognised by
the Ministry of Power, bringing
together policymakers, regula
tory bodies, developers, manu
facturers and EPC contractors.
More than 2,500 representatives
from transmission utilities
across the country participated
in the event.
