Divisional Officer
Pramod Singh Tanwar of Sub-Division No. 1, Bijapur, and Sub-Divisional Officer
Santosh Das of the Bridge Sub-Division, Jagdalpur, has
been placed under suspension with immediate effect. The
suspension orders were formally issued by the department
on Tuesday. During the period of suspension, the head
quarters of all three officers have been fixed at the office
of the Chief Engineer, Nava Raipur.
They will be entitled to
subsistence allowance as per the rules applicable under
service regulations. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao stated that there is no place for corruption in the state government and that strict action will be taken against any
one found involved in corrupt practices, regardless of rank
or position. He emphasised that transparency, accountability and quality in public works are top priorities of the
government. Officials said the move sends a strong message to all departments that any compromise with integrity in government projects will not be tolerated. The investigation
into the road construction case is ongoing, and
further action will be taken based on the findings.
