THE seven-day National
Integration Camp (NIC) concluded at IIITDM campus in
Jabalpur, marking a successful
return of prestigious event to
Rani Durgavati University (RDU)
after 14 years. The closing ceremony was organised in presence
of Madhya Pradesh Higher
Education Minister, Inder Singh
Parmar, who lauded National
Service Scheme (NSS) for its role
in nation-building.
The camp,
which commenced on
December 17, served as an
assembly of volunteers from 12
Indian states. Addressing the
valedictory session, Minister
Parmar stated that the energy
and dedication of NSS volunteers are pivotal for ‘Viksit Bharat
@2047’ initiative. He observed
that the camp effectively fostered
a sense of cultural cohesion and
social harmony among participants.
The week-long schedule
featured a rigorous blend of intellectual sessions and competitive
events. Experts conducted workshops on disaster management,
CPR training and environmental sustainability.
Campus transformed into a
vibrant display of Indian heritage during cultural segments,
where volunteers performed traditional dances such as Odisha’s
Chhau, Andhra Pradesh’s
Kuchipudi and West Bengal’s
Gambhira.
Academic and
administrative leadership
including incharge ViceChancellor, RDU Professor
Rakesh Kumar Bajpai and Camp
Director Dr Ashok Kumar Shroti,
oversaw distribution of participation certificates and mementos to volunteers.
Dr Devanshu Gautam proposed a vote of thanks, followed
by national anthem. The seamless execution of the camp was
a collective effort of the Regional
Directorate, Bhopal and NSS unit
of Rani Durgavati University.
