CHIEF Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated newly-constructed ‘Atal Parisar’ in 115 civic
bodies of the State on the occasion of 101st
birth anniversary of former Prime Minister
Atal Behari Vajpayee, on Thursday.
He unveiled the statue of former Prime
Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee installed at
Fundhar Chowk on Atal Expressway in the
capital city Raipur.
He virtually inaugurated
the Atal Parisar built in other 114 urban bodies across the State.
Speaker of Chhattisgarh Legislative
Assembly Dr Raman Singh, Technical
Education Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb
and others were present.
Chief Minister Sai inaugurated and performed bhoomipujan of 23 works approved
at a cost of Rs 186.98 crore under Raipur
Municipal Corporation area in a programme
organised at Fundhar Sports Ground.
Foundation stones for 17 works worth Rs
185.49 crore were laid while six works worth
Rs 1.49 crore were inaugurated.
A coffee table book based on Atal Parisar
published by the Department of
Administration and Development was
also released.
During the programme, building construction permits were distributed to five beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
(Urban) 2.0 and cheques of Rs 50,000 each
were distributed to five women beneficiaries under PM Svanidhi Yojana. He said
that 1023 houses have been approved in
Raipur under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
(Urban) 2.0.

programme.
Atal Parisar is being constructed in 192 civic bodies of the State at a cost
of Rs 46.87 crore.
