THE Bhopal Municipal
Corporation (BMC) has transitioned into a proactive ‘Action
Mode’ to accelerate city development and bolster its financial standing. During a TimeLimit (TL) meeting held at the
ISBT headquarters, the
Municipal Commissioner
unveiled a comprehensive
roadmap designed to eliminate administrative inertia. The
new strategy focuses on fixing
official accountability and
reviving stalled revenue-generating projects across the State
capital. With an aim to strengthen the corporation’s fiscal
health, the Commissioner has
issued stringent directives to
the Revenue Department.
A
special review meeting scheduled for December 29 will scrutinise the progress of revenue
officers appointed at the
Assembly-constituency level.
Furthermore, the BMC has
decided to immediately restart
all defunct parking lots across
the city. This move is expected
to streamline urban traffic
management while
providing a significant boost to
the civic
body’s coffers.
