CHHATTISGARH Civil Society
(CCS) will organise a state-level
Veer Bal Diwas programme at
the Chief Minister’s residence on
December 26, marking the annual observance dedicated to
courage, sacrifice and resilience
among children.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai
will be the chief guest at the event,
during which four children from
the State will be honoured for acts
of exceptional bravery and presence of mind. The organisers said
the initiative aims to recognise
real-life courage displayed by
children and to inspire peers
across the State.
Chhattisgarh Civil Society said
the selected children had demonstrated extraordinary alertness
and moral strength in challenging situations, setting examples
for society at large.
The felicitation by the Chief Minister, the
organisation noted, would not
only acknowledge their courage
but also encourage a culture of
responsibility and fearlessness
among the younger generation.
Society coordinator Dr
Kuldeep Solanki said the organisation had played a significant
role in advocating for the national observance of Veer Bal Diwas.
He recalled that representations
were made to Prime Minister
Narendra Modi and the Union
Home Ministry, urging formal
recognition of December 26 to
commemorate the supreme sacrifice of the four Sahibzadas of
Guru Gobind Singh.
The efforts culminated in a
landmark announcement by
Prime Minister Modi on January
9, 2022, during the Prakash Parv
celebrations, declaring
December 26 as Veer Bal Diwas
across the country. The day honours the courage and martyrdom of the Sahibzadas and seeks
to instil values of bravery, faith
and selflessness among children.
Organisers said the Raipur
programme would also underline the cultural and historical
significance of the day, ensuring
that the legacy of sacrifice is
passed on to future generations
in an engaging and meaningful
manner.
Chhattisgarh Civil Society
described the annual observance
as part of its broader effort to nurture a culture that celebrates
courage and ethical conduct. By
highlighting stories of young
bravery, the organisation hopes
to reinforce positive role models for children and adolescents
across the State.
The December 26 programme
is expected to draw participation from civil society members,
officials and invited guests,
reaffirming the State’s commitment to honouring courage at a
young age.
