Singh said said Prime Minister
Narendra Modi imagined a platform in every field where talent can be showcased, recognised and rewarded. He said
today’s youth will prove to be a
milestone in building a developed India. He was addressing
the closing ceremony of Sansad
Khel Mahotsav at Ranital
Stadium on Thursday.
Addressing the players and
citizens, the PWD Minister further said there was a time when
India felt proud if any Asian
country won a medal at the
international level.
“Today, India is creating its
own sporting history.
Our athletes are winning medals, earning respect and recognition and
the government is also taking
responsibility for their livelihood,” he said. Minister Singh
urged players to give their best
performance and work towards
a better future, adding that
Prime Minister Modi has decided to make India a developed
nation by 2047, with sports playing a key role in that journey.
He expressed confidence that
such sporting events would
continue in the future and congratulated Memeber of
Parliament Ashish Dubey for
successfully organising the Khel
Mahotsav.
Member of
Parliament Ashish Dubey said
the Mahotsav began on August
29 at the village, ward and block
levels before reaching the district level, culminating in the
closing ceremony.
Remembering former Prime
Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee
on his birth centenary, Dubey
described him as a great source
of inspiration.
He said Prime Minister
Narendra Modi aims to connect the country’s talent and
capabilities with national development by providing appropriate platforms, and the MP
Sports Festival is a step in that
direction.
