TWO goals in the added time of the match helped Manganese Ore India Limited (MOIL) XI quell the challenge from Friends Sports Academy in the ongoing JSW-NDFA Elite Division Football Championship. Six goals were scored during the match played at Dr Ambedkar Football Stadium in Suyog Nagar in North Nagpur, two of which came in the added time as MOIL XI beat Friends Sports Academy 4-2. At the halfway mark in the tournament, MOIL are leading the chart with eight points from five games. MOIL XI took a healthy two-goal lead in the first half but Friends Sports Academy bounced back strongly to draw parity in the second half.
 
Vishal Parekar scored a brace in the 5th and 12th minutes to take the minemen ahead and they maintained the lead at the change of ends. They did manage to hold that lead for a better part of the second session, but Ravi Roka of Friends gave them hope scoring the first goal for his side in the 62nd minute. Shahbaz Qureshi then scored the equaliser in the 75th minute to stun MOIL. However, when Friends Academy thought that they would run away with a point. Ameet Thakur scored the third goal for MOIL in the 90+1 minute. Three minutes later, he again added another to snatch three points from the match as Friends left sulking. In Super Division, Sportian FC edged past Central Railway 1-0 with Rukshit Fulmali scoring the winner in 70th minute of play.
