the House, Congress MLAs
arrived with a tableau depicting
a field eaten by birds (regretting
now when the birds have already
have already eaten spoiled the
field).
Meanwhile, they launched
a scathing attack on the
Government’s agricultural policies. Farmers are suffering on
every front, the Government is
repeating only promises.
During the protest, Leader of
the Opposition Umang Singhar
said that the State’s farmers are
suffering at every level, from fertilisers to minimum support
prices and compensation for
natural disasters. He said that
the farmers are running from pillar to post, while the ruling party only makes hollow claims
about price differences
(Bhavantar) and other
schemes.
Singhar alleged
that the government has
failed to protect the interests of the farmers. During
the Question Hour, State
Agriculture Minister suddenly fell ill. Speaker
Narendra Singh Tomar

minutes as doctors were
called in to examine the minister. The ailing minister was
taken to the hospital.
Speaker Tomar later visited
the private hospital to
inquire about his health.
During the call attention
motion Deputy Leader of
Opposition Hemant Katare
told the Higher Education

erupted in VIT campus was
not sudden. The complaints
against its administration
were receiving since long
time.
Why action against the
VIT University was not taken. NSUI President Ravi
Parmar also registered the
complaint a few months
ago. But no action was taken on it. He stated that it was
one of the largest campus
unrest incidents in recent
years, nearly 4,000 students
were there. Minister Parmar
assured the house stern
action will be taken against
the institute but he dodged
the answer on withdrawal
of FIR against the students
saying proper procedure
will be followed.
