Scan and Report: Bhopal Police roll out QRcode system for public feedback, grievances
Staff Reporter :
IN A new move aimed at making the police system more transparent, swift and citizen-friendly in the State capital, the Bhopal
Police have launched a special
initiative. Unique QR codes have
been issued for all police station
areas, enabling the general public to directly communicate with
the Commissioner of Police (CP)
by simply scanning them from
home.
Police Commissioner
Harinarayanchari Mishra
explained that the QR code
mechanism allows citizens to
send any problem, information,
or suggestion related to a police
station within minutes. He highlighted a key feature: complaints
against any Station House Officer
(SHO) or police personnel can
also be registered through this
same medium.
This step is
expected to not only enhance
transparency in the police
functioning but also ensure
significantly faster resolution
of grievances compared to
previous methods.
Strengthening citizen-police
dialogue: The Commissioner
of Police emphasised that this
measure will strengthen the
dialogue between citizens and
the police, helping to make
police action more dynamic
and effective.
Appealing for
public co-operation, the officials urged citizens to utilise
this new QR code system to
share their suggestions and
problems, thereby contributing to the continuous
improvement of the city’s law
and order situation and overall police service.
