IN A press briefing at the
Kushabhau Thakre International
Convention Centre, Higher
Education, Technical Education,
and AYUSH Minister Inder Singh
Parmar outlined the achievements of the past two years and
the roadmap for the next three
years in Madhya Pradesh. The
event, attended by senior officials
including Additional Chief
Secretary Anupam Rajan and
Principal Secretary AYUSH D.P.
Ahuja, highlighted the state’s significant strides in education,
healthcare, and wellness.
Minister Parmar emphasized
that under the leadership of Chief
Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the
higher education department
has undergone transformative
changes aligned with the
National Education Policy 2020,
making courses more multidisciplinary, employment-oriented, and inclusive.
Key initiatives
include the full implementation
of four-year undergraduate programs, the introduction of oneyear postgraduate courses, and
the establishment of three new
universities in Guna, Khargone,
and Sagar. All 55 district colleges
have been upgraded to ‘Prime
Minister’s Colleges of Excellence,’
with over Rs 336 crore invested
and 1,845 new positions created.
On the technical education
front, gross enrollment in state
polytechnics has increased by
21.38%, while online counseling
for technical courses rose by
25.99%. Financial support
through the Chief Minister’s
Merit Scholarship and Welfare
Schemes has benefited over
92,000 students, totaling Rs
764.55 crore.The campus of the
National Defence University
(RRU) has now been established
at RGPV, Bhopal, for the 2025-26
academic session.
In the AYUSH sector, Minister
Parmar announced the approval
of eight new Ayurveda colleges
and the launch of 800 AYUSH
health centres across the state.
Recruitment of over 2,700 professionals has strengthened
human resources, while initiatives like “AYUSH at Your
Doorstep” have provided care
and medicine to thousands of
tribal residents.
Over the next
three years, the focus will be on
infrastructure development,
wellness tourism, digital e-governance, and postgraduate
expansion, reflecting the government’s commitment to accessible and quality healthcare.
