UNDER the leadership of Chief
Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, a
major breakthrough has been
achieved in the eradication of
Naxalism.
Ten hardcore Naxalites with
total bounty of Rs 2.36 cr, including four women, surrendered
before Chief Minister Dr Mohan
Yadav in Balaghat during an
event on Sunday. Chief Minister
Dr Yadav brought the surrendered naxals into the mainstream
by presenting them with a copy
of the Constitution.
The ten, who laid down arms
including AK-47 and INSAS rifles,
are part of the ‘Bhorsadev area
committee’ of the outlawed
Communist Party of India
(Maoist).
They belonged to new
division KB of Maharashtra, MP
and Chhattisgarh (MMC) zone
comprising Kanha Tiger Reserve
in Mandla, MP and
BhoramdeoWildlife Sanctuary of
Kawardha district of
Chhattisgarh. It was led by ultra
Sunder alias Kabir.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav stated that the State Government is
committed to making Madhya
Pradesh Naxal-free, in accordance with the goals set by Prime
Minister Narendra Modi and
Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Dr Yadav stated that not a single person is allowed to take up
arms.
He urged Naxalites to adopt
the Government’s rehabilitation
policy. The Government will
make every effort to secure their
lives, ensure their development,
and integrate them into the mainstream of society. Encouraging the
officers and soldiers, Chief
Minister Dr Yadav stated that the
anti-Naxal campaign is being
continuously strengthened.
Fifteen new temporary camps
and 882 posts for the Special
Support Squad have been
approved in the State.
Continuous monitoring, intensive investigations, and actions
have rapidly reduced the Naxalite
presence in the State.
He stated that 46 One-Stop
Facility Centres were opened last
year in Naxal-affected areas for
rehabilitation. These centres are
providing employment, forest
rights certificates, and other
essential services.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav, while
paying tribute to the brave martyr officer Ashish Sharma, said
that 328 police officers, including those from the Hawk Force,
who performed exemplary
duties, have been given out-ofturn promotions.
He stated that
the Government is concerned
about the rehabilitation of those
who follow the path of law.
DGP Kailash Makwana stated
that under the leadership of Chief
Minister Dr Yadav, the anti-Naxal
campaign has been strengthened. New camps have been
established, and more personnels in Hawk Force and police
force are being deployed.
Furthermore, officers and soldiers involved in such operations are being motivated
through various measures. These
actions have yielded positive
results.
Naxal surrenders are
steadily increasing in other
states, including Madhya
Pradesh. He stated that significant progress has been made in
bringing youths and others from
Naxal-affected areas into the
mainstream through employment and skill developments.
MP Police is committed to
achieving Naxal-free India within the stipulated timeframe.
The programme was attended by Uday Pratap Singh, District

along with senior police officers
and personnel.
