Sujata Saunik stated, “Health problems in tribal areas are of a different nature. It will be possible to reach their root cause only through research. If more improvements are needed in the health sector, it is possible to solve them through dialogue and action. The MUHS FIST-25 conference of the university will play an important role in understanding the health problems in the tribal sector and finding solutions.”

Elaborating the details of various schemes, Sounik said, “In various welfare schemes implemented by the Government, the health information received from ASHA workers and health workers is not sufficient and needs to be complete as per the standards of the 'World Health Organization'. The information obtained through working on direct health care under the university's 'Blossom' project, it is necessary for solutions.” Sounik further said that the prevalence of sickle cell anemia and malnutrition is high in tribal areas. Various initiatives are being taken by the Centre and State and they are getting great success, claimed Sounik.
