Swaraj Mishra in boys and Amoli Pradhan in girls emerged overall winners of 1st Vibgyor World Inter-school Chess Tournament. BVM, Ashti branch took away the Best School Shield. The tournament was held at Vibgyor World Academy, near Jhansi Rani Metro Station. The event was organised by Kalpana Prakash Welfare Foundation and was recognised by Chess Association Nagpur. In Under-15, Shourya Ambone was adjudged best in boys category whereas Asad Zafira emerged best in Under-15 girls section. Ved Phaur was named best in Under-11 boys and Swara Gandhi in girl section.

 

The top prize in Under-9 in boys section went to Dhawal Deshmukh while Gargi Harkare was adjudged best in girls group. BVM, Ashti, consisting of Rishik Lekhi, Manas Karnase, Anurag Bagdi and Swara Gandhi bagged the Best School Shield. The second best award went to Somalwar Nikalas having players Rudra Dhole, Ayush Phating, Gargi Harkare and Anushka Deshpande. BVM Srikrishna Nagar got the third prize with players Jay Sawalakhe, Atharva Goenka, Kavya Bagdia and Jeet Atul Jain. Prizes were distributed by SS Soman, Superintendent, CGST who is also the Member of MCA Observer Committee. Trupti Parekh, Cluster Principal of Vibgyor World Academy, Bhushan Shriwas, Secretary of Kalpana Prakash Welfare Foundation and Secretary of Chess Association Nagpur and FA Shiva Iyer, Chief Arbiter shared the dias. Ketal Kothari proposed a vote of thanks.
