THE Chhattisgarh Pavilion at Prayagraj Maha Kumbh has emerged as more than just a resting place for pilgrims—it has become a centre of service, culture and tradition. Since the grand event began on January 13, over 25,000 pilgrims have availed themselves of the facilities provided at the pavilion. Set up to assist devotees from state, the pavilion offers essential amenities, including free accommodation, food, cleanliness, and security, ensuring a hassle-free experience. Pilgrims visiting the facility have not only praised the arrangements but also appreciated the glimpse of Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage showcased through folk performances and exhibitions. Beyond being a service hub, the Chhattisgarh Pavilion also highlights the state’s rich cultural traditions.
 
Folk dances, songs and musical performances are being organised, captivating pilgrims and creating a vibrant atmosphere. Additionally, an exhibition on various welfare schemes of the government is providing visitors with useful insights. Ashish Singh, who arrived from Bilaspur with his family, shared his experience, stating that the arrangements at the pavilion have made their visit comfortable. “The cleanliness, timely meals, mobile charging stations, warm blankets, and secure lodging have been commendable,” he said. Several other pilgrims echoed similar sentiments, acknowledging the initiative as a much-needed support system. With millions gathering for the sacred ritual of the Maha Kumbh, the Chhattisgarh Pavilion stands as a symbol of the state’s commitment to service and culture. By blending essential facilities with cultural outreach, it has ensured that devotees from the state can participate in grand event without inconvenience, while also promoting the region’s heritage on a national stage.
