TOURISTS visiting Bhopal’sVan
Vihar National Park can now
witness the majestic ‘Asiatic
Lions’ as they were released
into the enclosure. The lions
were brought from Junagadh,
Gujarat, two months ago. The
lions, one male named ‘Juna’
and one female named ‘Giri’
were initially kept in quarantine at the park for monitoring. Now, they have been
released for public viewing.
Visitors will not only be able
to hear the lions roar but also
watchthemroamfreelyintheir
enclosure.
This initiative isapart of
Madhya Pradesh’s ongoing
efforts to promote wild life conservation and tourism.
Presence of these AsiaticLions,
native to Gujarat, is expected
to play a significant role in
boosting wildlife tourism in the
State, offering a unique experience for nature enthusiasts.
