“The grand Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj is a magnificent reflection of Sanatan culture. Nowhere else in the world can one witness such a profound confluence of faith. For thousands of years, this sacred gathering has symbolised the unity of humanity, transcending caste, language, and sect. Devotees from diverse backgrounds come together at the Kumbh Mela, embodying the spirit of social harmony”, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at ‘Maha Kumbh Prayag Yoga’, organised at Reshimbagh ground on Sunday.

The event commenced with ‘Guru Paduka Darshan’ and ‘Sangam Jal Abhishek’. The event was also graced by Justice Sunil Shukre (Retd), Satsang Foundation’s Nagpur Centre President; Rajesh Loya, Mahanagar Sanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh; Ameya Hete, his father Narendra Hete, and other dignitaries. More than 50 crore devotees have participated in the Kumbh Mela so far, taking a holy dip in the sacred waters.

However, for those unable to travel to the Kumbh Mela, the sacred water from the Prayagraj Sangam was brought to Nagpur. This initiative was part of the ‘Mahakumbh Prayag Yoga’ event, said Chief Minister Fadnavis. Over the years, millions of devotees have taken a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj during the Mahakumbh. To extend this divine experience to those unable to visit Prayagraj, the sacred water from the Sangam was brought to Nagpur via Ramtek. The ‘Mahakumbh Prayag Yoga’ event was organised, allowing devotees to partake in the holy ritual and connect with the spiritual essence of the Kumbh Mela.
