Brahmos Aerospace top exporter from Ngp Customs Customs Deptt celebrates International Customs Day

Aerospace Private Limited become the top exporter from the Nagpur Zone of Customs department for the current financial year. The joint venture company manufacturing Brahmos supersonic missiles was hounoured by the Nagpur Customs Commissionerate on Saturday during the celebration of International Customs Day held here in the city.
In addition, Sri Sai Nath Agri Industries Private Limited and KEC International Limited were the second and third leading exporters respectively from the Nagpur Zone comprising Nagpur, Aurangabad and Nasik regions.
Similarly, DFE Pharma India Private Limited, SMW Ispat Private Limited and Gajkesari Steels & Alloys Limited, top three importers, were also honoured on the occasion.
Nagpur Customs Commissionerate celebrated the International Customs Day 2025 with great fanfare. Atul Rastogi, Principal Commissioner, CGST, was the chief guest and Pradeep Kumar Bohra, Commissioner (Appeals), was the guest of honour of the event. Peeyoush Bhati Commissioner, Nem Singh Additional Commissioner and other senior officers of Customs and Central GST were also present on the occasion.
This year the International Customs day was celebrated on the theme: “Customs delivering on its commitment to efficiency, security & prosperity.”
The major activities, performance, key initiatives and achievement of Customs department were showcased through video and presentation during the event.
During the event Charanjeet Singh, Assistant Commissioners; Sachin Thorat, Assistant Commissioners; Alexander Lakra, Assistant Commissioners; Manish Pandharpurkar, Superintendent; Bhupendra, Superintendent; Abhay Puranik, Superintendent; Nirmal Meena, Inspector; Yogita Mulani, Inspector; Aditya Bhairwa, Inspector; Sanjay Kumar – Stenographer; and Krishna Besre – LDC were also awarded for their exemplary performance.
The event saw participation from importers, exporters, custodians, Customs brokers and members of other stakeholders. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sachin Thorat, AC, Customs Nagpur. Shashishekhar Sinha, Superintendent (Air Customs) conducted the
proceedings.
