Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay chaired a crime review meeting and issued necessary directions to the officers to put-up vigilant check on anti-social activities, gambling and illegal trade of narcotic substances in the district. The meeting was attended by Additional SP (Urban) Anand Kaladgi (IPS), Additional SP (Zone-2) Samar Verma, Additional SP (Rural) Suryakant Sharma, Additional SP (Crime) Pradeep Kumar Shende and Additional SP (Traffic) Sonali Dubey while all gazetted officers, urban and rural police station in-charges and outpost in-charges were also present prominently. SP instructed the SHOs to treat complainants with respect, personally listened to their grievances and take immediate legal action.
 
They were also directed for evening foot patrolling in market areas to regulate public movement, identify illegal encroachments, and co-ordinate with municipal authorities for their removal. Action should be taken against alcohol consumption in public places, especially near liquor shops. Interaction with the public during patrolling was emphasised to gather information for maintaining law and order. A review was conducted on criminals with multiple offenses. SP ordered legal proceedings against notorious criminals, habitual offenders, and those violating bonds under sections 129 BNSS (110 CrPC), 126/135(3) BNSS (107/116 CrPC) and 141 Indian Civil Security Code 2023 (122 CrPC). Criminals who committed offenses while on bail should have their bail cancelled in court.
 
Pending cases of murder, attempted murder, robbery, snatching, burglary, vehicle theft, fraud, and crimes against women were reviewed. SP ordered reward announcements for all fugitives and instructed immediate arrest efforts. Special emphasis was given on recovering missing boys and girls under sections 363 IPC / 137(2) BNSS. A review of complaints from the CM Helpline, senior offices, and public hearings was conducted. The SP ordered the immediate resolution of pending complaints without any negligence. This meeting focused on enhancing crime control measures, ensuring public safety and enforcing strict action against criminals to maintain law and order situation.
