After the victory of BJP in Korba municipal corporation and other 4 urban bodies of Korba district, State Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan said that this victory is of every citizen of Korba city. Addressing a press conference t Minister said that Congress has been deceiving people for the last 10 years.
In the last corporation election also the public had taught a lesson to Congress, but by bribing and trading, Congress formed its government in the corporation.
He further said that during the tenure of Congress, the public faced problems even for basic amenities. After the formation of BJP government in the state, the stalled works in Korba Municipal Corporation area gained momentum.
In one year, works worth Rs 400 crores were approved and the foundation stone of all the works was laid. Modi's guarantee and Vishnu's good governance have brought prosperity to every section. Minister Dewangan said, ‘after winning the election, our strength has doubled. Korba Corporation will now get more funds from the government, to expedite development works.
On being asked about setting up new industries in Korba district, Minister Dewangan said that the new industrial policy of the government is being discussed and appreciated across
the country.
Work is being done at a fast pace for setting up of Aluminum Park in Korba. This park will be set up near Bharat Aluminium Company (BALCO). For this, a provision of Rs 5 crore was made in the previous budget by the Finance Minister.
This aluminium park will strengthen the industrial scenario of Korba district and provide new employment opportunities for the local youth.
Newly elected Mayor Sanju Devi Rajput said that work will be done with a resolve to fulfil all the expectations of the people from the Municipal Corporation.
Our efforts will be to ensure that the development work of all the 67 wards of the city is done simultaneously.
Rajendra Rajput, newly elected president of Dipka municipal council, Soni Jha, newly elected president of Bankimogra Municipal council, Padmini Dewangan, newly elected president of Nagar Panchayat Chhurikala and Ajay Jaiswal, newly elected president of Nagar Panchayat Pali, were present on the occasion.
