INTERNATIONAL Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Naya Raipur is hosting an impactful workshop titled ‘Empowering Entrepreneurs: Cyber and Network Security Awareness for Threat Prevention’ from February 17 to 21, 2025. The workshop aims to equip entrepreneurs, academicians, and students with the necessary knowledge and tools to tackle emerging cybersecurity threats effectively. Eminent experts from premier institutions like IITs, NITs and IIITs graced the workshop, ensuring a high level of discourse on cyber and network security. In the inaugural session, Chief Guest for the event Professor Sukumar Nandi from IIT Guwahati delivered a keynote address on Monday. He highlighted the latest advancements and challenges in Cybersecurity.

 

Professor Yogendra Srivastava from HNLU, Guest of Honor contributed his valuable insights on Secure Business Practices in the digital age. Speaking on the importance of such workshops, Professor Srinivasa K G, Dean (Academics) of IIIT Naya Raipur emphasised the crucial role of cybersecurity awareness in today’s digital economy. Professor Srinivasa K G said, “With increasing cyber threats targeting startups, businesses and institutions, empowering entrepreneurs with cybersecurity knowledge are not just an option, but a necessity.

 

This workshop will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and skill-building, ensuring that participants are well-equipped to secure their digital assets.” Entrepreneurs, IT professionals, researchers, and students interested in cybersecurity are participating in this workshop to leverage this opportunity to learn from the best minds in the field. The workshop promises interactive sessions, live demonstrations, hands-on training and networking opportunities with industry leaders and academicians. The workshop is being coordinated by Dr Ruhul Amin, Assistant Professor at IIIT Naya Raipur.
