Newly-elected Raipur Mayor Meenal Choubey, along with over 40 councillors, embarked on the Mahakumbh Yatra to Prayagraj on Tuesday. The journey, involving a total of 150 participants, is being undertaken via luxury buses and is led by MLA Rajesh Munat, who extended an invitation to opposition members to join the pilgrimage. Expressing her thoughts on the occasion, Mayor Choubey said, “After 15 years, the BJP Government has been formed in Raipur Municipal Corporation, which is a moment of immense happiness. Before assuming our responsibilities, everyone desired to participate in the Mahakumbh bath. I am grateful to Ramesh Thakur and Rajesh Munat from the BJP organisation for fulfilling this wish. The people of Raipur have placed their faith in us, and we will pray to God for blessings to develop the city efficiently.”
