The soil type map tells you the soil required for the crop. c.The location of the state will tell you whether the crop requires high/low temperature and heavy rainfall/light showers.

Tips for Economics

Globalisation chapter has a deleted portion, but it would be advisable for students to read the entire chapter as the topics in the chapter are all related. As sustainable development is the need of the hour, be prepared for this topic in application or competency-based questions in geo or eco.

General Tips:

Every day, solve or go through 2 sample papers to follow TIME MANAGEMENT and to get familiarised with the paper pattern. Divide a chapter into 4 or 5 topics and make notes topic-wise. Do not learn pagewise or do rote learning from any outside study material. Do not avoid information given in boxes. Attempt section-wise and in sequence. The paper should be neatly presented. Write pointwise answers.
History Preparation Tips:

1. Understand the Chronology: Create timelines for events, especially for chapters like Nationalism in India and Nationalism in Europe. A flowchart or mind map can help to remember points. 2. Make Short Notes: Write down important dates, events, and key personalities. Highlight causes, consequences, and significance. These will help to solve MCQs and long answer questions. 3. Practice Map Work: Be thorough with the locations of Indian National Movement events. You can score full marks in this section. 4. Convert historical events into a story format to make them easier to remember. Avoid memorising and focus on understanding. We can expect application-based questions and questions based on real-life scenarios. 5. Every part of the textbook is important, and reading the textbook thoroughly will help score full marks in MCQs. 6. MCQs, map, and case-based questions should be attempted well, as these are sections that are scoring and are based on understanding and thorough reading of textbooks. 7. Prepare questions relating to cause-effect relationships (for eg: How printing contributed to the rise of nationalism). Compare & contrast (for example, compare the characteristics of non-cooperation and civil disobedience) for long answer type questions.
Civics Preparation Tips:

1. Focus on Concepts: Understand power-sharing, federalism, democracy, nation, gender, communalism, and diversity rather than just memorising. (For example, focus on constitutional provisions for gender equality; prepare pros and cons of democracy in points; how democracy ensures social justice; implications of decentralisation). This is important as competency-based questions relating to real life can be expected. 2. All illustrations/cartoons should be understood properly, especially the messages they convey. 3. Practice Answer Writing: Frame answers using a structured approach. But before writing, comprehend the question. Understand what is asked. Do not give a generalised answer.
Exam Writing Tips:
1. Read the Question Carefully: Identify keywords like “explain,” “analyse,” “discuss,” or “justify” to answer accordingly. 2. Write to the Point: Avoid unnecessary details—be clear, concise, and factual. 3. It is advisable to write in points rather than in paragraphs. 4. In the last few days, focus on previous years’ papers and sample papers to get familiar with the question pattern. But this should be done only if you are well prepared with the syllabus. 5. Know the Syllabus Well: Focus on the chapters prescribed in the CBSE 2025 syllabus and avoid unnecessary topics. 6. Refer to NCERT Books: NCERT is the primary source for exam questions. Read and understand each chapter thoroughly. Avoid using guidebooks. 7. Make a study plan so that you can complete the syllabus comfortably.
