The players of Madhya Pradesh were warmly welcomed in city after the State secured third place for the first time in the history of the National Games. The event took place at the Badminton Hall, Sports Youth Welfare Department. The welcome ceremony was attended by the Mayor, Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu, BJP City President, Ratnesh Sonkar, State Treasurer Akhilesh Jain, officials of the Sports Association and the players from Jabalpur who had won medals. The athletes were greeted with sweets to celebrate their success. The medalists from Modern Pentathlon and Wushu were among those recognized during the event. The program was conducted by Ashish Pandey, District Sports Officer (DSO), who also encouraged the athletes to continue achieving success.
 
Mayor, Jagat Bahadur Singh addressed the athletes with inspiring words and offered his blessings. Digvijay Singh shared valuable insights on the history and significance of the National Games. Among the standout performers was the Modern Pentathlon team, which won 4 Gold and 2 Silver medals. The athletes, including Rama Sonkar, Yash Bathre, Aditya Kushwaha, Manvi Srivastava, Devendra Markam, Neha Yadav, Akshita Sharma, Hariom Sen, Shaurya Patel, Janmejay Pachori, Arav Sharma, and Kanakshri Dharwal, made remarkable contributions. They earned the highest prize money of Rs. 66 lakh for their achievements, bringing pride to the city. On the occasion, students from the Kho-Kho competition and Sanjay Yadav, Virendra Singh Rajput, Shekhar Awasthi and Rajesh Choubey were present.
