THE newly-formed Delhi
Cabinet in its first meeting on
Thursday approved the implementation of Ayushman Bharat
health insurance scheme in the
national capital and also decided to present 14 pending CAG
reports in the first session of the
Assembly.
Addressing herfirst pressconference as Delhi Chief Minister,
Rekha Gupta said that the previous AAP Government did not
allow the health scheme in the
city, preventing the people from
availing its benefits.
The first Cabinet meeting of
the new Delhi Government
approveda 100-dayplan,decided to clean the Yamuna and
develop the riverfront.
She also
declaredthatshewouldnotmove
intothecorruption-riddledChief
Minister’s residence, popularly
known as ‘Sheesh Mahal’.
Gupta also announced allocationofportfoliosamongmembers of Council of Ministers,
keeping with her finance, services, vigilance, revenue, women
and child development among
other departments.
Parvesh Verma was givenchargeofPWD, water, legislativeaffairs, irrigation and flood control,whileAshishSoodgothome,
power, urban development andeducation portfolios.
Minister Kapil Mishra got lawand justice, labour and employment, and tourism, while hisCabinet colleague ManjinderSingh Sirsa received industries,
forest and environment, foodand supply departments.
Pankaj Singh was allocatedhealth, transport and IT departments,whileRavinderIndrajgot
social welfare, SC & ST welfare,
cooperative and elections, theCM said.
